Katharina Gsöllpointner was invited to present the DIGITAL SYNESTHESIA project and its theoretical context at the Exploring Cybernetics Conference at RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
The conference, which was organized by the Institute Cluster IMA/ZLW & IfU, connected experts from a variety of scientific fields like computer sciences, mechanical engineering, mathematics, politics, economics and organizational development with scholars from the arts and humanities to explore the concept of CYBERNETICS as a meta-theory as well as to discuss its global influence on scientific evolutions during the last 60 years or so.
The DIGITAL SYNESTHESIA artistic research project was enthusiastically acknowledged as examplary for the connection of art and sciences – here in terms of exploring perception and aesthetics with a cybernetic approach.
A substantial book about the conference’s outcomes will be published at Springer WienNewYork in 2015.
